DigiQuizz is a CSEC practice app made by Hapax LLC. This page says what we collect, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

  • Your account. Email address and name, and a Google profile if you sign in with Google. Handled by Clerk, our authentication provider — we never see or store your password.
  • Your month and year of birth, asked once, only to check you are at least 13. We do not ask for the day.
  • Your practice. Which papers you unlock, which questions you answer, what you chose, whether it was right, and the streaks and study credits that follow from it. This is the product; without it there is nothing to show you.
  • Payments. If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. Card numbers never reach our servers. We keep the subscription status Stripe reports back.
  • Usage. Page views and basic device information, so we can tell whether the app works on the phones people actually use.

Who processes it

These are the companies that handle DigiQuizz data on our behalf. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone who is not on this list.

Cookies

DigiQuizz sets very few, and none of them for advertising.

  • Sign-in cookies, set by Clerk. Without these you cannot stay logged in.
  • dq_ref — if you open a friend’s referral link, we remember their code for seven days so the referral still counts after you create your account. It holds a referral code and nothing else, it cannot be read by scripts, and it is deleted as soon as the referral is settled.

The Meta pixel runs on our public pages and tells Meta that a visit or a sign-up happened, so we can tell which ads are worth paying for. It does not receive your name, email, or anything you answer. If you would rather it did not run, a tracker blocker or your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting will stop it, and DigiQuizz works exactly the same without it.

Students under 18

You need to be at least 13 to have a DigiQuizz account, and we ask for your month and year of birth once to check. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent, guardian, or teacher is happy for you to use it. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it.

We do not build advertising profiles of students and we do not target ads at under-18s.

Getting your data, or getting rid of it

  • A copy of everything. While signed in, open /api/account/export and your data downloads as a JSON file.
  • Deletion. Email us and we will delete your account and the practice history attached to it. Ask and we will confirm when it is done.
  • Corrections. If something we hold about you is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

We keep your practice history for as long as your account exists, because it is what the app is for. Records we have to keep for tax or accounting reasons — payment records, essentially — outlive the account.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we change this page and move the date at the top.
